APWA Vision Statement

(As adopted by the Executive Board on September 16, 2003)

The American Public Works Association is a trusted and valued organization of Public Works professionals in Washington State. We recognize achievement and celebrate success in our profession while providing a stimulating environment within which to learn and network with other Public Works professionals.

Educational opportunities are offered across the State that equip our members to meet the standards of professional competence and earn continuing education credits toward advancing their skills and status in their profession.

We aspire toward greater diversity in age, gender, ethnicity, and professionals within APWA and other organizations with which our chapter works.

We promote and strengthen the image of Public Works in our communities, government and business through our public education, advocacy programs and service.
